Mike Bulger is a Rochester native who has returned home to pursue his passion around food systems. Mike holds a master's degree in Food Studies from New York University and for several years coordinated community food access programs and patient dietary interventions at New York Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital. He was a Research Associate/TA for the esteemed Dr. Marion Nestle at NYU and has guest lectured at Yale University. As Healthy Communities Coordinator, Mike oversees Healthi Kids' community food access interventions, and complete streets work.
Active in the community, Mike is a member of Comprehensive Access Mobility Plan Advisory Group, the Smoking Health & Action Coalition and the local Urban Agriculture Working Group. He also co-chairs the Drive 2B Better Campaign Steering Committee.
Mike’s hobbies include: Cooking for friends and family, reading about food and food systems, music, running, gardening and exploring the outdoors.
