Playfinders are simple playful sidewalks that help kids and their families find playgrounds while exploring their neighborhoods by foot. This year Healthi Kids launched Playfinders at JR Wilson and Norton Village Park with the help of Cub Pack 37, the Lyell Otis Neighborhood Association and the Lyell Avenue Business Association.
Designed to be fun, interactive, and easy for community members of all ages to create, we purchased a variety of stencil designs including hopscotch patterns, bubbles, ballons and footprints that will get that will get the imagination going while encouraging movement and play along the way.
What makes a Playfinder different from any other playful sidewalk? Each trail begins with a custom-made stencil featuring the PlayROCs logo. This creates a unique and recognizable identity that kids can spot anywhere in the city and helps to connect a growing network of playful pathways leading to parks and play spaces.
