Parents and guardians have the power to advance the changes you want to see happen within the Rochester City School District. The RCSD Board of Education is recruiting RCSD parents and legal guardians for Board committees for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents who participate serve as advisory members to the committees and support the oversight and accountability of the Board of Education.

Selected parents will serve on the committee from July 1st through June 30th and will have an option to return as a mentor for an additional year.

Current committees include:

  • Equity in student achievement
  • Audit
  • Community and intergovernmental relations
  • Finance and resource allocation
  • Human resources
  • Policy development and review
